Ice Road Trucking

The North has a unique environment with 8 months of winter, temperatures can reach temperatures as cold as -50°c. Ice road season runs from February 1st to early April, during that time there are thousands of loads being hauled from Yellowknife to the Diamond mines that are located 260 kilometers north of Yellowknife. It takes a professional truck driver with years of experience to run these ice roads. Truckers come from all over Canada to run the ice road for this short season. YB Services has fully equipped tractors that operate on the winter road and run the highway during summer months.
